Prominent Nigerian Human Rights lawyer and activist, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu has charged lawyers to focus on upholding the tenets of legality for sake of justice, as against manipulations over sentiments for ethnicity or religion.
Prof. Odinkalu was addressing a group of attentive lawyers at the Justice Adamu Aliyu Bar Center in Jalingo, Taraba State, as he shed light on core advantages of promoting justice and national against tribal chauvinism.
The event, which was convened by Barrister Ama Orji Chinedu, was also graced by personalities of the legal profession, including Chairman of the Jalingo Bar, Barrister J. D Ubandoma; Chief Registrar of the High Court, Magistrate Vonkat Clara Gebon Jummai Timothy Kataps; Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, Taraba State Chapter, Barrister Jessica Ofia; former Vice Chairman of the Jalingo Bar, Barrister Aisha Hassan and The Legal Adviser of the Bar, Barrister Odekina John among others.
