With controversies and reactions trailing the obviously atrocious admission list released by the University of Lagos, UNILAG in the current admission season, and the subsequent withdrawal of the list, the crisis is far from over as yet, as the process is yet to consummate.

The often over-applied UNILAG’s admission process is allegedly fraught with fraudulent insertion of names of unqualified UTME candidates, every year.

Like other hyped tertiary institutions in Nigeria, admission racketeering has also been a bane in UNILAG, and it is suspected that the most of fictitious name insertions happen at the IT center, known as the CITS.

As a result, in addition to securing at the CITS, the UNILAG Management has introduced “African Magic” into monitoring of the quarters where sensitive admission and list preparations take place on the campus, including the CITS, where the staff members in charge of the place are also suspected to be “assisting” candidates in exchange for other gains or pleasures. has captured views of the “juju locks” newly introduced to scare off anyone or staff member that possibly attempts stealthy penetration to make insertion of fictitious names of candidates into the admission database.
